Self-hypnosis is very similar to meditation, but rather than avoiding all thought as in meditation, with self-hypnosis a person gives themselves positive suggestions. These suggestions come from the person’s own thoughts or from a prerecorded message.
Also, all hypnosis is self-hypnosis.
